Do you vote in political elections?
Always. If we don’t vote then we can’t complain when the opposition wins. Even one vote can make a difference, especially in local elections.
Voting is very important in a democracy. We can see what’s happening in America. Many remained at home and as a result democracy is in danger and an autocrat has taken over.
The rule of law is being ignored and the constitution is being challenged.
I think like the Australian system voting should be compulsory. This could make people think more about politics and those standing for election and make better choices as to who they vote for.
Voting also gives power to the people to vote out those who are not doing a good job or in many cases today who are corrupt and are not there for the good of their constituents. but for the power the position offers them.
So I vote at every election. The suffragettes suffered so that I have that right.

Yes, I vote—because every voice matters, and change begins with showing up.
